The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) has elevated its alert level to code yellow for much of the country, flagging the potential for:
- Local rainfall rates exceeding 30 mm per hour
- Hailstones with diameters up to 2 cm
- Wind gusts reaching 80 km/h
Storm cells are expected to surge in from the southwest, beginning in Zeeland and South Holland shortly after sunset, then sweeping northeast through North Brabant, Utrecht, Gelderland, and Limburg.
